About EICA
The Energy Industry CBT Alliance (EICA) is the nation's largest consortium / network of energy companies that use technology-based training (TBT). EICA was formed in February of 2001 when three large electric utilities decided to work together to share best practices and discover new ways to reduce training costs. The consortium quickly grew as other large electric utilities joined the organization.
Today, with over 80 of the largest energy companies participating, EICA is achieving its goal of reducing training costs and providing an organizational structure for energy companies to network with each other and collaborate on shared eLearning objectives.

Free Rapid E-Learning Development
This is perhaps EICA's greatest achievement and its greatest value. EICA members still have a hard time believing that they can email EICA a PowerPoint presentation or a Word document and a few days later have a fully narrated online training course published in Flash.
These eLearning courses are SCORM & AICC compliant and can be loaded and run on your company's learning management system (LMS) or accessed through EICA's free LMS.
View a PowerPoint before and after it a was converted into a fully narrated online training course. This amazing transformation took place in just five days!
One EICA member company used this free development service to develop over 50 online courses. All courses were developed quickly and without charge. Had they paid a vendor for this development it would have cost them well over $200,000. They commented that EICA's free rapid development service is the most amazing service they have ever seen and it is now an essential part of their internal online training development team.

Free Customization of 220+ Online Training Courses
In addition to free development of new courses, EICA Premium members also receive free customization of any of the 220+ courses that EICA has already developed for other energy companies. This benefit continually grows in value as EICA develops around 100 new courses each year. The current value of this library of 220+ courses exceeds $1,000,000.

Free Learning Management System (LMS)
EICA offers Premium members a free learning management system (LMS) to launch, track, and provide reports for their online training. Most companies already have their own LMS to run EICA developed online courses. However, some companies don't have an LMS or prefer to use our LMS to provide their training to outside employees such as contractors.

Exchange Training With Other Companies
EICA developed a program called "TrainShare" as a way for companies to share in-house developed training with other companies. TrainShare is available to Premium member companies.
