About EICA

The Energy Industry CBT Alliance (EICA) is the nation's largest consortium of energy companies that use technology-based training (TBT).  EICA was formed in 2001 when three large electric utilities decided to work together to reduce training costs. This consortium rapidly grew as other large electric utilities began participating in the organization. Today over 80 of the nation's largest energy companies are members of EICA.

By working through the EICA consortium, energy companies dramatically reduce their training costs by reducing eLearning development costs and by reducing development time.

For some companies, EICA alone can meet all of their eLearning courseware development needs. Companies who already have internal eLearning development staff will find EICA membership valuable by being able to review eLearning courses from other energy companies and by having the ability to off-load eLearning development projects to EICA when needed. Premium EICA members simply email a PowerPoint presentation or a Word document to EICA and usually within a week or two (depending on the size of our production queue) they receive a fully narrated custom training course published in Adobe Flash.

These eLearning courses are SCORM & AICC compliant and are ready to be loaded and run on your company's learning management system (LMS) or your company website.

EICA's free eLearning development service is flexible. Some EICA member companies use parts of EICA's free development services, for example several companies use EICA to provide them with free narration, graphics, or other eLearning components.
