EICA and EAP eLearning, Inc. Announce New Self-help E-Learning Library
KENNEWICK, Washington - April 25, 2008 - EICA and EAP eLearning, Inc. today announced the creation of a new self-help eLearning resource library designed to strengthen a weakness inherent in nearly all employee assistance programs (EAPs).
While virtually all company EAPs get high marks for how well they deal with personal and family problems after these problems become so severe that professional help is required, nearly all EAPs also receive very low marks for how poorly they PREVENT these personal and family problems from occurring in the first place.
EICA and EAP eLearning have developed a solution they claim will double employee utilization of prevention information.
This solution involves taking self-help text articles and giving them an extreme makeover using today's multimedia eLearning technology. What you get is an online self-help resource that people will like much better and use much more. Now employees and their families can not only read online self-help text documents, but can also watch online multimedia self-help eLearning presentations and/or listen to self-help information by downloading MP3 audio files which can then be played on a variety of devices: iPod, MP3 player, cell phone, car stereo, computer, etc.
Even though this online self-help eLearning library will not be completed until July 1, 2008, it is already the largest eLearning library dedicated to self-help content, containing over 100 eLearning modules.
This new online self-help eLearning library does NOT replace any part of a company's existing Employee Assistant Program (EAP). Rather, it strengthens the prevention component of their EAP, typically the weakest part of an EAP, thus making the company's existing EAP more effective. Companies can add this new online self-help eLearning library to their existing EAP simply by subscribing to it on an annual basis.
Companies will have free access to preview this self-help eLearning library until July 1, 2008, when the library will be officially released and will contain over 150 eLearning modules. The cost of this library is projected to be just $1 per employee per year. The library will grow monthly by 20 new eLearning modules (200 eLearning modules annually).
